Security Overview
VegasBlacklist takes reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the data on the platform, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all traffic to and from the site.
- Passwords stored as salted cryptographic hashes, never in plain text.
- Phone numbers stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes plus the last four digits — never in full.
- Access controls limiting who can view unpublished submissions, evidence files, and moderation tools.
- Logging of moderator actions for accountability.
- Rate limiting on authentication, submission, and response endpoints to reduce abuse and automated attacks.
We do not publish specific technical implementation details that could help an attacker target the platform. If you believe you've found a security vulnerability, please report it through the contact method in the Terms of Use rather than disclosing it publicly.
